The US Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) has told computer users to be wary of potential e-mail scams, as well as fake anti-virus and phishing attacks regarding the Japan earthquake and the tsunami disasters.
"I am in the process of updating security policies and am also working with center CIOs on additional measures recommended by US-CERT to mitigate removable media risks, " wrote chief information officer Jonathan Pettus in an e-mail to employees.
