For 30 years Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Nilima Rovshen were best friends, since their days as single professional women in Bangalore at a time when Indian career women were rare.
Both are centrally contracted to the ECB, who would then decide whether they could play in the final on 22 September - four days after the Pakistan series ends - if Bangalore qualify.
