选矿
选矿是根据矿石中不同矿物的物理、化学性质，把矿石破碎磨细以后，采用重选法、浮选法、磁选法、电选法等方法，将有用矿物与脉石矿物分开，并使各种共生（伴生）的有用矿物尽可能相互分离，除去或降低有害杂质，以获得冶炼或其他工业所需原料的过程。选矿能够使矿物中的有用组分富集，降低冶炼或其它加工过程中燃料、运输的消耗，使低品位的矿石能得到经济利用。选矿试验所得数据，是矿床评价及建厂设计的主要依据。
