初级运动区或躯体运动区,简称运动区(motor areas) 位于中央前回和旁中央小叶的前部,即布鲁德曼第 4 区. 功能:发出动作指令,支配和调节身体在空间的位置,姿势及身体各部分的运动.

运动区 motor area 把大脑皮层中其与运动出现有关的区域称运动区。在人和各种动物的脑中，此区域是通过刺激或切除的方法确定的。在人脑中，额叶中心前回〔波劳德曼（Bro－dmann）脑图的第4区〕、6区、8区以及枕叶的19区都属于运动区。
