转抵押西方商业银行融通资金的一种方式。当商业银行资金周转不灵时，可向其他商业银行举借转抵押贷款。转抵押贷款的程序与工商企业向商业银行申请抵押贷款的程序基本相同，所不同的是，商业银行向同业举借转抵押贷款所有的抵押品，大多是工商企业向其举借抵押贷款时提交的抵押品，如动产和不动产。转抵押的手续较复杂，技术性也较强。
