结焦
在锅炉炉膛中心，燃烧火焰中心温度在1500~1700℃之间。燃料中的灰在这样高的温度下大多熔化为液态或呈软化状态。由于水冷壁的吸热，从燃烧火焰中心向外，越接近水冷壁温度越低。在正常情况下，随着温度的降低，灰份将从液态变为软化状态进而变成固态。如果灰还保持着软化状态就碰到受热面时，由于受到冷却而粘结在受热面上，形成结焦。
