系统容错 System Fault Tolerance，这个特性允许你为一个系统提供硬件冗余。容错是更一般的术语。Novell公司用SFT来描述NetWare中的容错特征。 SFT允许你安装两个硬盘，并且在辅硬盘上的内容是主硬盘内容的镜像(参见“磁盘镜像和磁盘双工”)。如果主硬盘发生故障，辅硬盘就接替它的工作。磁盘控制器也可以双份，或双工工作以进一步防止硬件发生故障。SFT Level Ⅲ(可选)通过双工整个服务器而进一步提供了冗余性。假如主服务器停机时，辅服务器同步无间断地接替它的工作。
