图鉴（pictorial book）是指在某个领域，尤其是生物、岩石、矿物等自然物，以及交通工具等人造物绘制的科学精确的图（绘画、照片），并附加相应的解说文字，概览性的博物学书籍。一般情况下，这类图鉴都是大尺寸的，也有为了便于携带而专门制作成小型图案的“口袋型图鉴”。虽然外国也有很多采用图画的博物学、自然史学等类似的书籍，但却被认为是在日本取得独自发展的一种博物学书籍样式。
