养蚕
养蚕是古代中国劳动人民创造的重要技艺，种桑养蚕之法相传源于黄帝的妻子嫘祖。家蚕的祖先认为是野蚕（B．mandarina），形态上和家蚕几乎没有差别，而且与家蚕长大后能自然杂交产生后代。有称为“青白”的一家蚕品种，据说是由野蚕和家蚕杂交而来的。其它家蚕的性状明显地是从野蚕传来的也不少。染色体数野蚕为n=27，家蚕为n=28，认为家蚕是野蚕的一个染色体在进化的过程中切断为两个而产生的。
