He also plans to send a new nationalgendarmerie to patrol the most violent sections of the country and send out specially trained federal police units who will work to fight extortion and kidnapping.
He's also discussed a plan to divide the country into regions to tackle security problems and to create a new nationalgendarmerie force, which could eventually send Mexico's military out of the streets and back into their barracks.
