“Don't patronise me” she glared, rising from her chair and taking a step towards Nathan with her injured leg. She let out a slight scream of pain before collapsing on the floor and gripping her injured leg as she scrambled back towards the window, placing more distance between herself and Nathan and Edward. She wished she had thought about her condition before showing her obvious weakness in front of the men. She had been unable to move anywhere without relying on someone to aid her or her crutches since her last escape attempt.
