Critics of the Bush military tribunal system see it as an outlier and outlaw, a betrayal of the American coin of the realm, it's reputation for fairness and the rule of law.
Applying this illogic on a more local basis, the U.S. could outlaw recessions simply by dynamiting an American city each time unemployment bubbles up, and then employ an army of the formerly jobless to rebuild that which was leveled.
