Over the last 12 months, energy prices are up 18 percent, so the overallconsumerpriceindex is up 3.5 percent for the 12 months ending in April, and that's somewhat higher than it's been.
Andy Rothman , the China Macro Strategist for CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets, believes that China is near the peak in food-price inflation and close to the peak in the overall rise in the ConsumerPriceIndex for this cycle.
