The Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras (Philippines) was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1995 as an outstanding culturallandscape that evolved over two millennia.
Inscription on the World Heritage Site could increase commercialization while at the same time promoting more sustainable management of this unique culturallandscape.
