Social Media Week is a global event, occurring in 24 cities, with the purpose to examine the culturaland economic impact of social media around the world.
The criteria will set the a minimum standard for sustainability for the tourism business, covering the socialand economic benefits of tourism as well as its impact on a destination's environment andcultural heritage.
Engaging with governments on the impact of religious andcultural change and the need to explore new models of social cohesion will also be a key focus.
