It was one of only two companies worldwide (the other was Korea's Posco) to turn a profitmaking slabs in the fourth quarter last year, when steel prices hit their low point.
Its chiefs said then their main objective was reducing organised crime, not making a profit and they hoped to break even by the end of their third year of operation.
