The 2013 Nissan LEAF again uses an independent strut suspension with stabilizer bar in front and a torsion beamrearsuspension with integrated stabilizer bar.
The Veloster is seriously snouty, a consequence of it being a front-drive car with a transverse-mounted engine (the Veloster is very much a mechanical clone of the new Elantra, complete with torsion-beam rearsuspension).
The 3's suspension with a proper multilink geometry in the back as compared with a torsion-beam rear axle remains composed under hard braking and cornering, and manages to quell big whoops from the road that would send other compacts into oscillating fits.
With MacPherson struts up front and a beam axle in the rear located with a Watts Z-link to quell excess body movement the suspension is competent enough, but no one will want to autocross the Verano.
