The plot, much too tangled for its own good, arrives at the surprising conclusion that our heroes, loyal Americans, need to take out the Vice-President, but, if audiences respond to the movie, it will be not for the timbre of its political paranoia but for the relaxing, uncompetitive backchat between the stars.
